Distribution Supervisor

Kforce is seeking a Distribution Supervisor for one of their clients in the Sunnyvale, Texas (TX) area! This person will be primarily responsible for managing warehouse operations including: inventory controls, checking orders, and preparing inbound and outbound shipments. The candidate will plan, lead, organize, and motivate a team less than 30 with a sense of urgency, respect, and understanding. Responsibilities:
Supervises the daily work schedules and activities of warehouse employees involved in any of the following: shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, picking and packing
Plans, schedules, and assigns work to ensure production goals are achieved
Partners with other members of the management team to provide direction and guidance to employees
Ensures employees meet all established standards for productivity, accuracy, equipment maintenance, housekeeping and safety
Coaches and trains employees in the performance of warehouse activities
Supervises warehouse personnel in effecting the receipt, storage, cycle counting and kitting of materials within the daily deadlines
Ensures the accurate entry of data, proper documentation, and correct inventory activities to support required levels of inventory accuracy
Oversees the utilization, maintenance and safe use of material handling equipment and machines
Acts as liaison between the material handling operations and administrative functions
Supervises subordinate personnel
Maintains high level of order and housekeeping in the warehouse area
Manages and implement policies and practices including, but not limited to, the Corporation's Equal Employment Opportunity Policy and applicable safety and health procedures
Performs other duties as necessary
Bachelor's degree highly preferred; Associates degree with 3 years of warehouse/distribution management experience, or High School diploma/GED with 5 years of warehouse/distribution management experience
5 years of logistics/distribution experience
Minimum 3 years as a Lead or Supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of all warehouse, distribution, transportation and logistics related functions
Ability to read and write English fluently
Must have strong communication, leadership, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
Basic computer literacy
Ability to train, motivate, and coach employees
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Software skills: proficient in MS Excel, excellent planning, administrative, and organizational skills
Must be forklift certified

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
